Sanibel is an island and city in Lee County, Florida, United States.
The Sanibel Island Light rises 98 feet above sea level, and was one of the first lighthouses on Florida's Gulf coast north of Key West and the Dry Tortugas. The lighthouse is an iron skeleton tower with a spiral staircase, and was first lit on August 20, 1884.
