In 1821, the rubblestone tower was 20 feet tall to the base of the lantern, topped by an octagonal wrought-iron lantern, seven feet high, containing lighting apparatus consisting of 10 whale oil lamps and corresponding 13-inch reflectors.

Lori, this is a lovely composition. I love the misty atmosphere, placement of the birds, and how the sailboat balances the lighthouse. Very nice work. vtd
