Description
This is the view that Appalachian Trail hikers will see in northern Maine. Mt. Katahdin, Baxter State Park, is the highest mountain in Maine, and the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail. While we were there, we saw many hikers with full beards who began hiking months ago from Georgia.
Photo taken 8/7/12 from the Abol Bridge near the Appalachian Trail, that crosses the Penobscot River.
