An icy morning at the Thousand Islands Bridge, upstate New York. Taken from Wellesley Island looking toward Fisher's Landing. The bridge spans the St. Lawrence River between Alexandria Bay and Clayton, NY.

The Thousand Islands are a group of more than 1,800 islands in the St. Lawrence River, straddling the border of the United States and Canada. A fashionable retreat for the elite in the late 19th century, today the area is a hub for outdoor activities including boating, fishing and sightseeing. It’s home to elaborate island mansions such as the German-style Boldt Castle on Heart Island, and Singer Castle on Dark Island.

Lori is a published photographer from central Pennsylvania. Country landscapes, farmhouse decor and wildlife are what Lori loves most. Lori creates a blend of painted photographs that are realistic renditions of country living, filled with perspective and peace, capturing farmyards, barns and animals meandering across the frame.
